I bought this just to see what it’s like and the hard drive works fine, it’s as good as another portable hard drive that I have. It’s as fast and although its refurbished it looks brand new.The reason I would say it’s may not be worth is because your only saving 8 dollars and you don’t get the 1 year warranty although that is not alot for a hard drive anyway. You only get a 90 day exchange period with Amazon but the other thing is based on this and it saying ‘amazon renewed’ I thought I was buying this from Amazon, but it’s actually from a third party supplier.Its a fine hard drive but I think the price should be lower. If this drive was around 40 dollars it would be a great deal.

New case. new connector. Appeared brand new. I bought it just for back up. not a constant-refresh type but , copy another drive-one-time and put it on the shelf. it’s fine.
