Built my own dollhouse wiring
Used this for the second half of powering my dollhouse build. The battery pack didn’t get hot, it was light, fit the specs I needed and easy to put together with the connectors. This was far cheaper than buying a premade kit and works just as well.

Good Enough for Hi-Fi
***This review is only for use with Audio gear***I got this to power my Loxjie P20 Tube amp. People in some forum had said that it is an improvement over the stock one. This also has a higher current rating (5A vs 1.67A on the stock). Anyway, I have noticed that the sound is marginally fuller using this. The change is very subtle though so it’s not going to make a day and night difference but to my ears it is noticeable. But on the other hand with no music and turning the amp to full volume, there was an audible hiss which wasn’t there with the stock supply. I put it down to this being more powerful than the stock. At the volumes I listen, there is absolutely no noise (I have to turn the level up by 25dB over my listening volume to hear anything). So, if you are looking to get the most out of your cheap hi-fi gear, I recommend this. But I would not really use this with anything costing $250 or more. Chances are the stock ones that come with that are just as good if not better.

Good power supply, bad connector
I used mine for garden lights (with the power supply mounted indoors). I think I might have 35W running on each of two units. They don’t seem to run hot at this level and are a good value at this price. They have been running a couple of months maybe 8 hours per night. These have a handy little cylindrical connector that you can unplug like a typical 12V portable device, but on one, this connector did not have enough surface area or maybe pressure at the point of contact, and this made a hot spot, so the connector kept going open circuit (the lights go dim or turn off). I finally discovered it was slowly melting, and just cut that off and used 2 splice connectors to make a permanent connection, and all is well again (you can always unplug the 120V side from the black box if you want a second way to unplug). I would buy again, but just wanted to let you know that the little cylindrical connection may be more trouble than it’s worth and can reduce power to your devices. If you have a similar problem, it probably isn’t the power supply, it’s that connector. Easy fix.

Works Just Like It’s Supposed To
We had over and under cabinet lights installed when we built our home in 2014, each with their own AC/DC transformer, but one of the transformers was starting to fail and the other appeared to be overheating. I replaced the ‘failing’ transformer with the SHNITPWR unit and it worked perfectly. So, I ordered a second unit to replace the transformer that’s running hot. Haven’t installed that one yet, but I’m confident it’s going to work just as well as the first unit. Very pleased with the transformer and the price. Plus, the delivery was super fast.

It Works
A good generic replacement for a similar failed power supply that came with some photography lights. Works great.

Just adverage
I’ve seen far better and far worse. This doesn’t have a whole lot of information with it so make sure you know what you’re doing when you use it.
