Better then my 15mo GE
Works better then the 15 month old GE that it replaced. It was also about half the price even when I added the 3 yr warranty on it. It’s quiet, and I like the control panel better then the GE one. I would buy again. Husband and kids like it also. The only thing I found weird was the fact that the door automatically locked after cook time ended. You can disable this feature though and it will not reset, even after a power outage. Other then that, it is the same size as it’s predecessor except slightly deeper then wider. It also heats food in less time.

This is my second sharp first one was really a good one lasted for years had no trouble but finally quit. liked it so I bought another one the new one heats like it should I like the different options for setting the cooking time and really quiet. I like it after getting use to it.

Good Quality Microwave
This Microwave works great, looks great, and is a good quality microwave. I would have given it 5 stars, but I found the Express Cook very annoying! Most of the time, I am using seconds or minutes with seconds, for example 45 seconds or 2 minutes 15 seconds which makes me have to first push the Time Cook button and then put in my seconds or minutes with seconds and then start it. In other words, it makes it a three step process. In my opinion, the Express Cook function is not necessary because half the time it may be convenient if you are only using whole minutes and inconvenient is you need more precise cook times. Apparently most new microwaves are like this today, and I’m not sure why engineers would think this is a great idea, but they probably do not cook or use a microwave many times a day! 😆 I also have to mention the annoying child lock, but at least there is a way to turn it off since households like ours do not have small children.

Great microwave, very quiet and powerful. You can fit anything you want in this microwave. Food cooks quick and heats evenly. You do have to be careful you don’t burn your food because it cooks so quickly.

This microwave quit working after four days. I am still ha ing a difficult time getting my refund after 3 months. The company keeps coming up with different excuses as to the delay in my $270.00 refund.

DEFECTIVE – DID NOT HEAT AT ALL
There was power to keypad and turntable, but unit did not heat at all. Contacted Amazon and they didn’t have any in stock to replace it. Only option was a refund 15 days AFTER the defective one was received in their warehouse. In the meantime I’m still out a microwave and my money. Contacted Sharp and after just 2 minutes on the phone they authorized a free replacement with the exact same model, it shipped the very same day, and they didn’t require me to ship the defective one. I can’t say if the issue with the first one was a factory defect or the result of mishandling somewhere in the warehousing/shipping process, but it deserves a few stars for Sharp’s willingness to stand behind their product and the simplicity of their return process.
