Best camera I’ve ever used (better than ring, blink, and the arlos I had )
This camera has exceeded my expectations for the cost of the camera and the solar panel that was super easy to install (meaning you don’t have to get on a ladder once a month to charge it like I did with the ring flood light that cost a lot more ) this has ai detection that detects humans from animals etc and the cloud fee is very very cheap maybe 3 dollars a month. The alarm and strobe light work great the sound is crystal clear and is very user friendly and also connects to your Amazon Alexa or google home just like these big name brand expensive ones. Believe me this is the best camera I’ve owned and I have blink , ring, and arlo.

Great solar camera
Let me start this review of by saying I bought this for my chicken coop to see which dog or chicken or animal was eating my eggs.I have tried 2 other camera systems. 1 wired 1 wireless. My last I had just moved my backyard wireless camera to the coop. Unfortunately we had a bad storm the next morning and our electric kept going on and off for about 2 hours. It fried our camera system. Bummer. I needed to see who the egg thief was.Now to the good. I went on Amazon. I didn’t have a huge budget. I found this camera and decided I could risk it. It would be here by 7am the next morning. Perfect! And the fact I didn’t have to run a 100ft+ extention cord out there was even better! The camera itself is about the size of a 3 yr Olds hand. So small. The sollar charger is about the size of my husband’s hand. Both the camera and the solar charger have one mount. You just screw it on. Super simple. It has a way to move the camera around to angle this and that way. And then to stabilize it. It comes with mounting hardware, 3 drywall Anchors and 3 screws. Yall, this is SIMPLE. Make sure you give it a little chargey charge before you take it outside. You’ll need to set it up with the app so you can see where it’s facing etc when setting it up. But you just scan a qr code on the paper download the app. Then it is super simple from there. Basic step by step instructions. I went all over my coop which is quite large, looking for the perfect spot for internet that wouldn’t lag. The app is great at telling you, this spot is not going to work. And this spot is going to work great. I can get on the app and see pretty much 90% of my coop. I see everywhere I need. That’s the main thing. Everytime I check the app, it takes a second to load the video and then it’s up and running. The best part, you can go into the settings and have a small screen play on the background of other apps. You can add up to a 128gig Sim card for backup. Or you can purchase their monthly subscription plan for about 3$ a month, they have 2 different plans. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to get their free version to work. But thats not a problem, as I want to be able to download more then 6 seconds at a time if need be. One last thing. In their app, you can go and customize and pick where it will notify you if something gets in the picture. I did it surrounding the nesting boxes and about a foot out in front, thankfully our dogs are quite big, so they don’t register as animals. When I am away, I can go in the app and either use the alarm, or yell at the dogs to get away from the boxes. And I know the voice is loud bc even the basset hound who doesn’t like to listen hears me and takes off running. This has exceeded my expectations

PERFECT CAMERAS
great quality cameras! you just charge the camera indoor for the first time and then also charge the solar panel and good to go, quick set up with the app, no issues pretty self explanatory. easy to place. way cheaper than an actual hiking or trail camera from a store. night vision as well as plain color during the night. siren, talk thru camera, flash light when motion is detected. AMAZED with these cameras- so far we have 3 and no issues! Perfect price as well!!

Some quirks, but cost to feature ratio is good
I’ve been wanting some solar-powered wireless security cameras for awhile as the locations I wanted to monitor didn’t have power outlets, and I didn’t want to drill through the walls. I’d been looking at more expensive models before I happened across this one. It was half the price of the others I considered and at the time had a coupon for $10 off. Based on the mostly positive reviews I decided to take a chance. After receiving and testing it out, I bought a second a few days later. I’ve been using them both for around a couple weeks now. I’ll lay out my review based on pros/cons:Pros:Feels sturdy and not cheap.Solar panel also feels good quality and seems sturdy. As it uses USB-C I’d like to have a couple more of them by themselves to take on trips for solar charging of other electronics. The cable is a good length, I’d say around 10 feet. The USB port is on the bottom of the camera and at first I thought the entire rubber weatherproofing flap/cover had to be open to use it which seemed like a design flaw as it also exposes the mSD slot and the power/reset buttons. But on closer look there’s a small, separate cutout specifically for the USB plug that pops out and lets the rest of the flap stay closed.Solar charging works pretty well. The camera on the front of the house only gets direct sun in the afternoon and it remains at 100% charged despite only getting a few hours of direct sun a day. Unfortunately the one in the back is in a much more shaded area and gets very little direct sun and was varying between 50-80%. After a few days of less sun it’s now even lower. I’m probably going to have to move the panel for that one. The options you choose in the settings will determine how quickly the battery is used. More on that below.Setup and connection is a snap. You register for a free account in the app (more on that below) and the process to add the device to the account is simple: You choose the WiFi network (2.4Ghz. only) and enter the password, then It displays a QR code that you point the camera to, and it connects and registers it.Doesn’t seem to have issues with moderate range. My first one is on the front of the house and close to the wireless router, so I don’t expect that one to have a connection issue. The other one was at first in my backyard and around 50 feet away, and the signal strength would bounce between 75%-100%. I moved it closer to get a better view of the area and it now varies between high 80s and 100%, like the front one.Three separate options for night operation. The built-in white LEDs can be set to come on with detected motion to provide color vision or can be set to come on and stay on with night. The other is straight night vision with the IR LEDs.Cloud-based storage is an option but not required. Can save locally to mSD.Cons:Image quality isn’t the greatest. It may say HD but it’s not. Don’t expect to be able to identify people at long distances. More suited for smaller areas or for more enclosed areas. While the night vision works decently well, there’s no option for the IR cut filter to stay enabled at night while viewing. Or in other words there’s no option for it to remain “dark” at night when viewing the feed. The IR or white LEDs will automatically come on. Sometimes I’d like to view the area in the dark and see the surrounding light sources in color.Motion detection range is shorter than you’d think and feels like a straight beam pointed towards the middle of the screen. When the front camera was angled down a little more it wouldn’t detect vehicles entering my driveway or people walking across the yard until they were at the base of my porch steps, despite the entire area being visible. Moving it up slightly improved the detection, but still keep this in mind. If you need the motion detection point the camera directly at the area. And the biggest con: The app, CloudPlus, does work and isn’t too hard to use, but it has multiple quirks. First off for some reason it sends two notifications per event. One for the specific camera and then a generic “Tip: Motion detected” as well. You can go into the app’s notification settings (on Android at least) and disable this. But since it’ll be listed with the same name you’ll have to test to see which one it is.Speaking of notifications, the biggest issue I have with the app is how they work with saved videos. Every time you have an event it leaves a notification in your history in the app. If you don’t clear these what happens is every time you tap a new notification and then tap the play button for the latest video, it’ll start playing the first one of that day instead (or the earliest one that’s still marked as unread.) So you will have to manually clear these notifications from the app or else tapping straight to a recording won’t work right.Camera information does not refresh unless you’re actively connected and viewing it. What this means is despite being able to look at things like the battery charge and status for each camera separately from the main page of the app, that data is only as recent as the last connection. So for example if you checked the battery and it was at 80%, the settings will continue to say it’s at 80% until you click and start streaming the feed again, which will refresh all the information. The app offers settings for AI detection to only alert on humans and not animals but it’s not perfect. There’s other options but they’re a separate paid purchase in the app. Cloud saving has a free option with multiple limitations and a paid option with fewer limitations. I’ve not used any of these services so far, just the local mSD card.Other thoughts:The hardware itself seems to work fine. I’ve only had one issue that I assume was a glitch or a connection error and the streaming speed went down to almost nothing and I heard some weird feedback from the microphone. Rebooting the camera (doable from within the app) fixed this. Again this might’ve just been a connection issue and not the camera itself being faulty. The camera has a small blue LED to indicate its on, and this can be a good or bad thing. In dim light/the dark it provides warning that the camera is indeed watching and is a possible additional deterrent, but it blinks when you’re actively viewing the camera, meaning it’s possible someone would figure this out and know when someone’s watching or not (it’ll still be recording, of course.) You can turn this LED off under the camera’s settings in the app. One of my cameras I want it obvious that it’s there to act as an initial deterrent, but the second one is more stealthy, watching the side of the house and mounted on a tree, so I have that LED turned off to help keep it hidden. If you have vinyl siding, like me, and don’t want to drill through it to mount these you can get flat “hooks” designed for this purpose. They let you mount things to them via screw and then they slide up into a gap and gently holds from the inside. The ones I use require two for the camera itself, and just one for the solar panel. They work great and won’t damage your siding.Battery life is dependent on the options you chose. You can select 10, 20, or 30 second recording times when motion is detected and the app warns you that the longer ones use more power. Your usage of the white LEDs will also affect it. Obviously if you have them to to activate on motion or have them come on at dark and stay on throughout the night, that will also greatly impact the battery life. Constant activations will also have an impact as it flips the IR LEDs on when the PIR (passive IR) sensor detects movement, so if you put it on an area where constant activations are to be expected, expect that to have an affect, too. I can’t say for sure but I’d also imagine using the AI detection option uses more as it has to do additional processing. For the price to performance ratio the hardware is a pretty good deal, though the app I’d rate at 3/5 currently. Also it really needs a dark option. If I have any additional thoughts or experience changes with the hardware or software as I use them I’ll update my review.

Works shockingly well two years later.
I’ve tried some other random off-brand cameras and they’ve all had annoying issues with the function of the camera or the app (usually the biggest problem). This camera works surprisingly well–the camera hasn’t broken after two years of being outside and the solar charging element still keeps the thing charged year round despite snow and other inclement conditions. The app has caused me no headaches, which is the biggest shocker of all. It’s also pretty reliable with giving notifications of movement. Does what it needs to do without causing me headaches. I’m buying a second one for the other side of my property.
