I needed a backup cordless drill to replace my 18yr old Makita 9v, which still works. Delivered in a plain box without any labels, it doesn’t look like it was previously used. The $56 price was far less than the newer brushless model, but $30 cheaper. To my way of thinking, the original box must cost $20-$30? This 1/2″ cordless 18v drill has plenty of power, and I like the ergonomic rubber coating of the grip, that fits my hand. Very well balanced, when the battery is put in place.

Of my Ryobi tools. I needed to replace my drill. It was probably over 10 years old and the rubber grips were starting to melt from the heat in Florida. I love my new one. I did construction on new houses doing heating and air-conditioning. I’ve dropped it from a ladder, many many times. When I’ve watched others drop theirs in the battery would shatter the handle. Maybe I just had good luck 4/11/25.

I like the brand and drill but only concern was the drill arrived in an amazon box. As in, the drill wasn’t in a Roybi manufacture box. Just the drill with no instructions or anything. It looked like someone just picked up a drill and shipped it.

Smaller than my older Ryobi cordless drill although no compromise on functionality. Work light is an additional plus.

A great electric drill. I’m very happy with this purchase. I’ve started replacing aging power tools with Ryobi products, they seem well designed, rugged and get the job done. This product arrived the next day; my only observation was the drill was packed loose in the box with minimal padding. It appeared brand new, with no marks etc.
