Good camera!! Takes decent pictures, and is user friendly if you don’t have much digital camera experience. This is my first actual camera and I really like it, I find that there’s a small learning curve but considering I’m a total beginner it’s really not that bad. Plenty of fun settings, and easily connects via cord or SD card to laptops for downloading pictures that have been taken. Overall I’d recommend this camera!

maybe not the latest technology but try to find a point and shoot that does. I bought for the 50x zoom and it does not disappoint. may need a tripod for stability but the clarity is very acceptable and beyond the scope of a camera phone. it maybe bulky but everything has its purpose. I plan to travel with this in europe and use as my prime camera w the cameraphone for quick shots. battery life is excellent. i am a amateur photographer so just the basics .. happy camper.

An Amazing Camera
This is an amazing camera. In a world of technical terms, it does take some time to learn how to use it. Things to do (or) know. This camera does use an (LB-060) reactangular shaped (lithium rechargable battery) which is included but I recommend buying a second battery. It does not come with a memory card. You will need to purchase a minimum of (32gb) memory card. Do yourself a favor, download the user’s manual .pdf file from the internet. Just type in the full name of the camera followed by “users manual” and you will have what you need to set up your camera correctly. It has a lot of features that work great, probably more than you need if you are not a professional. After having to purchase multiple cameras, this one is by far the best value for the price. It does take some patients and tweeking but when you are done I found this camera much better than my GoPro 12, in my opinion. Although I wouldn’t classify it as an action camera, it does take great stills as well as videos. This is a great value all in one camera! 1080p is so close to 4k it’s very hard to tell the difference. That’s what this camera is a 1080p but the small difference is worth avoiding all of the 4k headaches.

As kodak being kodak they make great quality product. Battery life is nice. Accessories are cheap to add on and built in camera is solid. The display of camera doesn’t do justice to the photo taken once you transfer to your devices and get the details as you zoom in more then you will be happy.

The Kodak AZ528 Takes Pictures OUT OF THIS WORLD!
I have had the Kodak AZ528 since I bought it from Amazon in February 2023. I will admit I don’t use it as much as I thought I would because we’re all addicted to our cell phones that have built-in 50mp cameras but this thing is amazing!!! I took this photo of the Moon in July 2023 from Hillsboro, Oregon. I was in disbelief how great pics of the moon came out on a digital camera that was barely over $200! I can get pictures and videos of small aircraft 1000+ feet up and see the tail numbers clear as day. The AZ528 is amazing! I love that I was able to spread the purchase out over 5 monthly interest free payments with Amazon monthly payments too. Get this thing, you won’t regret it!

It’s Guess and Hope
Ordered this for my wife to take pictures of birds in our yard using a lens hood and UV filter (both must be purchased separately). It has not been used indoors. The major problem with this camera is the lack of a viewfinder. Pictures must be set up using the small LCD screen on the back of the camera. Unfortunately, when you use the camera outside, the screen shows your own reflection looking back at you and you can’t see what you are aiming at. I contacted Kodak customer service to see if anything could be done about this: perhaps a non-reflective coating that could be applied to the screen. This was their reply: “…when hit with sunlight the screen will look black and the only thing you can do is hover your hand over the top of the camera to keep the sun from hitting the LCD screen before pressing the shutter button.” Unless you have 3 hands or are using a tripod this is an unworkable solution. The shutter and zoom controls are on the right side of the camera so you hold the camera on the right. You need to steady the camera with your left hand when the zoom is extended because the camera becomes front heavy. Using this camera is like standing in a crowd and holding your cell phone over your head to try to take a picture of something you can’t really see. Sometimes you get a good picture, most times you don’t. It’s not point and shoot – it’s guess and hope.

Good for photos… but that’s it.
This camera does not record usable video. Unless you have a tripod and you don’t even walk near it, I’d compare it to a video cam from the early 2000’s. But really, for the price the outside shell just feels cheap and it just looks cheaply made (in person). I did a lot of research on this camera and it looked fairly decent on camera but once you hold it, it just feels like junk. The included video was recorded at 9.2x zoom and it just won’t focus, and if it does it loses the object soon after. It also only zooms in segments, after 9.2x it went to 12.4x or something close to that no in between. And the zoom dial was reversed on my camera, don’t know if they all come like that but mine did. We just ended up putting this camera down and using my phone and WAY got better video.If you need a video camera, just use your phone. My old iPhone 6 probably recorded better than this, and probably more stable. But if you’re only taking photos, this camera is decent. The photo included was only clear because I had to lean the camera on my truck or a solid surface. And then after about 15-20 photos I got that.I ended up getting a Canon EOS R50 and boy is there a difference. Got it used for $400 and it just blows this thing out of the park. Thought I could save a little money, but I would just steer clear of this camera.

This is a fun cam, lightweight and decent images, coming from an ex-owner of a Nikon P1000, and on a 1-inch sensor phonecam.The WiFi and android app works well together, stable if not blazing fast. And the camera runs on USB power.Doctors may retire daintily on their slow-food Leicas ;p ;p , but we can have our fun too on this budget ultrazoom.

I’m absolutely impressed with the zoom. I have purchased this one to capture images of birds / wildlife etc coming up in my future trips. Very easy to use, right out of the box. No fancy control like dslr camera which is good for newbs like me.

Der Automatikmodus ist, wie bei Kompaktkameras, ausreichend bei Tageslicht oder mit Blitz.Aber ihre Stärken spielt die AZ528 erst in den manuellen Modi aus. Nur müssen dafür aber die Einstellungen selbst gesetzt werden. Gute Aufnahmen von Makro bis Mond schafft eben keine Automatik.Material:Die Kamera fühlt sich sehr wertig an, auch wenn einiges aus Kunststoff ist, wie z.B. das Teleobjektiv, das übrigens voll ausgefahren leichtes Übergewicht nach vorn hat. Das merkt man aber nur beim Abstellen auf dem Tisch.Ein vergleichbares Teleobjektiv wäre viel schwerer.Das Anbringen von Trageriemen und Objektivdeckel ist etwas fummelig.Der Objektivdeckel hält aber so gut, dass ich manchmal nach dem Einschalten ein schwarzes Fotos mache, bevor ich merke, dass er noch am Objektiv hängt.Zoom / Autofokus:Der Autofokus bei maximalem optischem Zoom bis 52x ist schnell genug.Wer dann digital bis auf max. 208x weiter zoomt und das dann auch noch mit Dauer-Autofokus, der braucht ein paar Sekunden Geduld. Das ist dann nämlich nicht nur Fokussieren sondern Berechnen, weil die optische Brennweite bei 1248 mm (52x) endet.Das mehrfach als störend empfundene rote Licht ist das Autofokus-Hilfslicht, welches sich auch dauerhaft abschalten lässt.Gute Fotos gelingen auch ohne Stativ, wenn man die Kamera ruhig hält und den Auslöser schon beim Fokussieren halb durchdrückt.wackelfreie Fotos:Dafür habe ich mir ein Stativ bei Amazon gekauft. Darauf montiert und mit eingeschaltetem Selbstauslöser von 5-10 Sekunden gibt’s richtig gute Fotos. Das Stativ habe ich in einer anderen Rezension bewertet.Sucher:Einen optischen Sucher vermisse ich in manchen Situationen auch, aber das ist kein Mangel sondern gibt’s bei der AZ528 in dieser Preisklasse eben nicht. Darum stelle ich den Bildschirm auf Helligkeit +2. Das erhöht den Stromverbrauch, hilft aber etwas.Mittlerweile habe ich mir einen LCD Sucher für den Bildschirm bei Amazon gekauft, um den fehlenden Sucher auszugleichen. Den Sucher habe ich in einer anderen Rezension bewertet.Einstellungen:Viele (aber nicht immer alle) Einstellungen in den manuellen Modi speichert die Kamera sehr wohl.Und ja, die Bedienungsanleitung muss heruntergeladen werden. Dafür müssen dann aber auch keine 122 Seiten Papier verschwendet werden. Die meisten lesen die sowieso nicht. Und dann wissen die nicht, was die Kamera kann, meckern aber darüber.Blitz:Bei Innenraumfotos löst der automatische Blitz nur bei zuwenig Licht aus. Wer immer einen Blitz haben will, muss auch “immer Blitz auslösen” einstellen.Einen Blitzschuh hat die Kamera nicht, und der macht an einer Bridge auch wenig Sinn.WLAN:Die WLAN Verbindung ist total easy und zuverlässig. Dazu immer erst mit dem WLAN det Kamera verbinden und dann die Pixpro App starten. Im WLAN Modus kann die Kamera inklusive Zoom komplett ferngesteuert werden und mit zusätzlichem Stativ entstehen dann außergewöhnlich gute unverwackelte Fotos.Die Übertragung der Fotos erfolgt in einer akzeptablen Geschwindigkeit.Und Lesen der Bedienungsanleitung hilft. Man muss nicht jedes Bild einzeln übertragen. Tippt man auf ein Bild länger, können alle Bilder eines Tages mit einem Fingertipp ausgewählt werden.Hier habe ich allerdings einen Mangel in der App gefunden. Denn bei extrem breiten Panoramen bricht die Übertragung ab. Diese Bilder konnte ich nur mit ausgebauter Speicherkarte und Kartenleser übertragen.Speicher:Die Kamera soll nur 32 GB Karten akzeptieren, größere habe ich nicht getestet aber kleinere.Auf meine 16 GB Karte passen bei voller Auflösung “nur” etwa 2800 Fotos oder 2 Stunden Video drauf.Das ist eine Class 10 Micro-SD mit NoName Adapter. Nach Formatierung in der Kamera gibt’s keine Probleme damitLaden / Akku:Einen zusätzlichen Akku habe ich nicht und finde den auch unnötig. Denn ich habe festgestellt, dass die Kamera während der Benutzung geladen werden kann, wenn der Akku nicht schon zu sehr entladen ist. Dazu schließe ich unterwegs eine Powerbank mit langem Kabel an. Die liefert mehr Strom als die Kamera im laufenden Betrieb verbraucht. Damit kann ich die sie dann stundenlang im Dauerbetrieb haben. Die Micro-USB Ladebuchse ist so stabil, dass sie das locker aushält, obwohl der Deckel immer gegen das Kabel drückt. Hier ist kein USB-C Anschluss verbaut, darum muss man halt schauen, wie rum der Stecker eingesteckt werden muss.Der Akku reicht bei mir für ca.150-250 Fotos, je nachdem ob ich die Kamera über WLAN steuere oder direkt benutze und wie lange sie für ein Foto eingeschaltet ist.Lieferumfang:Der ist hier klar angegeben. Es wird hier keine Speicherkarte, keine Tasche und auch kein Ladestecker geliefert. Den hat sowieso jeder, der ein Smartphone hat, bereits zu Hause. Mit meinem Schnellladestecker dauert das Aufladen des Akkus ca. eine Stunde.Fazit:Das ist eine tolle Kamera. Man muss sich aber mit manuellen Einstellungen beschäftigen. Dafür gibt’s dann aber auch fantastische Fotos. Ein paar davon, mit den gesetzten Einstellungen, habe ich zur Bewertung hinzugefügt.Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist unschlagbar und darum gebe ich eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
