My son in law put this up in a matter of a few minutes so it was easy installation. The picture quality is great, very clear and in color. I like the way it moves with the subjects in the picture. I also love being able to talk with the subjects on camera. Definitely will be buying more.

These work great for my needs
I bought one of these to put out on a detached garage and wanted a camera that could track motion. I wasn’t sure if it would be too far to get a good reliable signal, but figured I would use it elsewhere if the garage was too far. To my delight the camera gets a good wi-fi signal from the house (about 75ft away) and gives a very good clear picture both night and day. I have no problem playing back recordings from a micro-SD card I installed, and I’ve had no issues with the software app. I am able to receive activity notices and view the video on my Samsung S21. Not the best at keeping up with motion tracking. If someone or something runs by the camera, it won’t necessarily keep up. I still like the overall performance enough that I bought second camera and am looking to get a third. I use these for general property security and get about 2 days of random recordings on the SD card before it loops around and records over old footage. A high activity area would get much less recording coverage before being overwritten.

Don’t buy it is not worth it
After reading the reviews, I figured I would give this a shot. Set up was pretty easy, getting it up and running was no problem. The picture quality was pretty decent, as was range. We had to pay to store the videos more than a day. It was around $70 for the year or $6.99 a month. Thankfully I decided to go by the month. The motion detection on this camera was terrible. After the first day, it started alerting me every 5-10 minutes saying “Person detected”. Only the camera was aimed at my front yard, and there was absolutely nothing on camera that changed. I also pay the extra for AI extra smart detection, but this got more stupid the “Person Detection”. Was not true and It did not help. whatsoever. Which pretty much the whole point of having a camera with motion detection if it isn’t going to detect a grown person walking thru the full range of the camera. Finally decided this wasn’t worth it and I am returning it. I’d rather spend the additional $100 and get another Save your money, don’t bother with this junk. You have to pay a monthly payment..

Game changer for our lambing barn!
I have a few of these in our lambing barn that doesnt have wifi. The extendors are strong enough to connect to our house wifi. They have lasted 3 years so far. In humid, wet, and -50 to 110 degree. It has been a game changer! We do hourly checks, now we can quickly wake up and check the cameras instead of having to get dressed and run out to the barn in -30 snowy weather. We can monitor a birth without stressing the ewe out. Observe natural behaviors between ewe and lamb and take note when behaviors are out of norm to monitor more frequently.It is hard for a livestock farmer to go away, let alone on vacation. It has been a peace of mind to have these cameras. We can even connect while on a cruise ship. These cameras have changed our lives for the best!

Didn’t even last two years
I purchased this camera May 11th 2023 and it is now almost 2 years later and this camera is no longer detecting motions. Not even with me opening the door anymore. Someone was at my door the other night trying to get in and I allowed them to try while I called 911 thinking that this camera was catching everything. The camera didn’t even detect that there was motion so the entire case was thrown out and we don’t know who that guy was that was trying to get inside my house. The siren does not work anymore either. Usually I would be able to hit the siren button (to get rid of whatever was out front) and the alarm would go off scaring the perpetrator away but this time the siren did not work either. The only thing that works at this point is the when I go into the app to open that camera to see what’s out front. The verbal back and forth conversation with who’s ever outside no longer works either. Nobody can hear me at all. So for $80 this camera should have been doing everything it is supposed to do for more than 2 years or just under 2 years. My indoor cameras are still detecting and doing what they’re supposed to and I purchased them the same time I purchased particular one that I have.

I bought and installed in 2022, has been working great, does not have a subscription fee with the sd card and why wouldn’t someone put an sd card in it? Can download videos from the sd card, really it has been very reliable as long as the wifi is a good signal. Happier with it than with all my blink cameras that are slowly crapping out

Night vision is really good. Motion sensing is really good (sometimes a little too sensitive). Connection drops out now and then. This could be from a weak wifi signal. Satisfied so far. I would recommend based on my experience to date.

***Actualización tras 6 meses de uso***Está en un poste a la completamente a la intemperie y sigue funcionando sin ningún problema.Tengo poco más de un mes de usar esta cámara y mi experiencia a sido buena, sin llegar a excelente, 8/10.Veo que muchos tienen problemas con las notificaciones y el tema de la detección y desde mi experiencia espero poder resolver ciertas dudas.Primeramente debes saber que esta cámara es Plug&Play en un 70%, debes jugar con las configuraciones para adecuarla a tus necesidades.Las notificaciones dependerán 100×100 de los horarios en que quieras que detecte movimiento y de que tan transitada esté la zona de detección, esto incluye animales, plantas, insectos, etc. ya que hasta con sombras y luces de activa la detección, recuerda que es una cámara de uso residencial económica, no esperes una IA superior que solo detecte humanos.La calidad de imagen es buena, va fluido y de noche también tiene buena resolución, la imagen a color de noche solo es posible si la zona de captura está iluminada o si se activan los leds de la cámara, de otro modo solo se captará en blanco y negro con los infrarojos.Yo la coloque a unos 5mts de altura y no alcanza a distinguir placas de autos ni rostros a detalle, también recuerda que es un sensor pequeño, no se le puede pedir mucho.El video en vivo es fluido tanto desde la red WiFi como de datos móviles si estas fuera de casa.Al principio si era lento y con mucho retraso, pero supongo que hubo alguna actualización y ese problemas se solucionó.La distancia del módem a la cámara es de unos 15mts y marca señal fuerte.La grabación continua 24/7 solo es posible cuando se instala una MicroSD, ya que en la nube de Imou Protect solo se almacenan los eventos de detección que duran segundos o minutos.La MicroSD debe ser especial para equipos de grabación continua, yo le puse una Samsung Pro Endurance de 256GB y no eh tenido problema.Solo para darte una idea del tiempo de grabación que puede almacenar la MicroSd, en mi caso es de aprox. 60Gb por semana, esta es su cuarta semana y creo que va a cerrar en 200Gb, supongo que los 238 Gb reales me darán unas 5 semanas de grabación 24/7.Esto dependerá de la cantidad de información que capture la cámara, no es lo mismo que todo el día esté grabando el transito de una calle con autos y personas en movimiento constante a que vigiles tu jardín donde solo pasas 2 o 3 veces al día.Se puede enlazar con Alexa, pero en la aplicación dice que no es compatible para video en vivo, lo eh probado en una SmartTV y aveces si da la imagen pero con demasiado retraso.En general pienso que es una buena cámara para el hogar o un pequeño negocio, si buscas algo con las capacidades de una cámara de seguridad pública pues tendrás que desembolsar la cantidad equivalente.Solo queda ver cual es su tiempo de vida útil.
