Perfect until you try to read the legend by the bits
A very complete set of high quality tools. I’m the “that’s a hardware problem” type, but I’m finding it very useful. Just one minor thing I’d change: some manuals and videos kindly tell you the types and sizes of bits. So you’re looking for a Torx 8. OK, they’re labeled…imprinted on the solid black surface. It may just be my 69-year-old eyes, but I have to get a VERY bright flashlight and adjust it to a very specific angle to have a chance to read it. If iFixit could find some way to make the depressed parts white, that would push it past the last tiny step to perfection.

High quality
This is a very complete tool kit with high quality bits that doesn’t get chewed up by tiny screws. The foam bit holder is a plus, it makes removing and storing faster compared to molded plastic bit holder. Comes with anti static strap which is a shame a mat is not included. I bought the mat too that comes with a strap.

I ordered the kit for the small stuff I can repair , since I was brought up to fix something till you can’t fix it ! The value was there and the variety of bits to fix just about everything!! The value is if you can fix something these tools will pay for them self !!

I was playing some of that new Animal Crossing early last month, you know? Around the time when that psychotic rabbit was hiding eggs in every surface of every object and you were left smashing your shovel for worthless resources? Right after that event.After a three hour play session I placed my Nintendo Switch into its official dock to charge. After an hour of not playing I decided I should play again- Don’t judge me. I mean what else would I be doing? Its an actual pandemic and I have nothing better to do. If I am honest though, I have nothing to do on normal days as I am a complete shut in with no friends. But regardless I’m sure this whole locking yourself in your house all day thing is doing terrible things to my mental state, I just haven’t noticed it yet.Oh right, anyways;Wouldn’t you know it, the damned thing killed it self- on the official Nintendo Switch dock no less. The Switch’s screen was backlit but the whole console was unresponsive. A forced restart later had baby raging when it didn’t start up. I mean I actually pouted, alone, in my house. Good thing no one will ever know how stupid I looked.Of course, its quarantine season so nothing is open. Of course!I cannot even buy a new one due to the Switch suddenly becoming a block of actual gold on store shelves. Nintendo had also taken the opportunity to not take any more repairs (Lets be honest they probably want a break from the joysticks, right?) and none of my local shops in my city are open to do a third party fix.Well, guess who has the time to learn? Me. That’s right baby! I have taken on the responsibility to fix my own devices!After scanning through my city’s stores looking for a Y000 bit to open the back of this gods forsaken device I stumbled upon this heck of a anti-security screw kit here. Easiest purchase of my life. Placed my order April 20, 2020.And waited….So after getting a notice saying it was going to take a whole month (May 23rd) I went pure caveman.I savagely found a larger sharp pointed Y00 and made it fit. So needless to say I am now looking into how to get a completely stripped and cratered Y000 out of Nintendo Switch.Turns out I have no idea what I am looking for.Sure, the back is off now, but it looks like a wild dog travelled a mile with the Switch in its mouth and I have no idea what is actually wrong. It is chip related and I have no idea what I am doing.So yesterday? I think it was yesterday- god, all my days are mashing together into one long day with dark moments. Anyways, I got a package! The “ifixit Pro Tech Tookit” showed up a week earlier then expected!It looks and feels great in hand and has a boat-load of tools in it! Everything you would ever need to do some repairs on your small electronics. It even has that Y000 I was after last month too. Cool… cool…So if anyone knows a good way to get the absolutely flattened remnants of a Y000 out of a hole, please hit me up.I want to clean this thing up a bit before I deliver it to the local repair shop.

Ik heb deze set verworven, daar ik frequent behoefte vertoon aan precisieschroevendraaiers. Deze set is, om het summier te formuleren, onmiskenbaar voortreffelijk! Het is bijzonder pragmatisch in het systematisch ordenen van de diverse componenten, terwijl het bovendien vervaardigd is uit materialen van onbetwistbare constructiekwaliteit. De uitgave is dan ook in zijn totaliteit volkomen gerechtvaardigd.

Hatte schon länger mit dem Set geliebäugelt.Ich nutze es für allerlei Elektronik Reparaturen (iPhone, N64, BOS Melder, RC Autos…).Das Werkzeug ist gemessen am Preis sehr hochwertig und vor allem durchdacht. Jedes Teil hat seine Berechtigung und funktioniert tadellos.Hatte mir daraufhin noch diverse ifixit Produkte gekauft, allerdings nicht hier.Hier sollte man gut vergleichen, wo es günstiger wird. Einige Produkte des Herstellers sind auf Amazon viel zu teuer und sollte man direkt beim Hersteller beziehen.Im roten Baumarkt bekommt man einige Sets ab und an auch günstiger. Aktuell wird die Project Mat dort abverkauft für sehr kleines Geld.Würde es jederzeit wieder kaufen und kann dies uneingeschränkt empfehlen.
