You Get What You Pay For, and For The Price This Is a Great Set!
As an amateur homeowner type of badminton set, this is a 5 star set. If you want a high end set, you should buy a Vermont Net and Posts set for $369 and 4 Yonex rackets for $200 each. And don’t forget the pro style birdies – 1 dozen for about $50. lol… Seriously, this is a nice set to play in the backyard during a family gathering or with the wife in the evening. The net is good quality and should far outlast the rackets, which is ok because you can pick up a couple of nice Vermont rackets for $25.We brought this over to the grandkids house and have had a ball playing it. Nothing has broken so far and the little ones are banging into everything. The setup is a breeze, if you have 2 people. By yourself it’s a pain as the posts keep falling down until you get the tie downs in place.I think your family will love this set!

Fun badminton kit includes everything you need for outdoor play but must use stakes in the ground
This is a portable kit you can use at the park or in the backyard but there are some limitations. The net doesn’t come with a base for using the net indoors or on concrete ground outside. Instead you must use the included spikes to drive them into the ground (grass or dirt) and it will not work so great in heavy winds. The build quality is very good. For moderate weather outdoors in a proper setting, this will work great and provide countless hours of fun in the sun or shade. It wasn’t so easy to put together and the instructions are not easy to follow. I had a buddy with me and together we were able to figure it out, and we had fun playing for hours outside at the park. The kit fits perfectly in its own carry bag, and probably next time it will be easier to set up since the first time usually always takes longer. The included shuttlecocks are very light weight and were not good in the wind. The would be ideal for indoor use but ironically the net is not set up to be used indoors. Ideally they would include more substantial shuttlecocks for use outside in moderate wind. I still give this 4-stars because badminton is a fun sport and this kit has “almost” everything you would want. It would be 5-stars if they had an optional indoor base setup (even for an additional cost) so you don’t always have to use the spikes to play.

Good Fun Set!
This is not a professional set, but I am not a professional player… This is a great badminton set for me! For the occasional backyard playing this is perfect! Everything needed to play wherever you have the room. Very portable and easy to set up and play. The quality is good and everything stays organized with the included bag. This set is really better than any set that I used previously. Great quality set for backyard play!

Brings back the Childhood Fun!
My wife and I grew up in the 60’s and into the 70’s. Back then, everyone had a Badminton set; it was the Pickle Ball of the era. When we saw this, it was an easy impulse purchase.Of course, when I was younger the net was higher. Now that it is lower, I am slower – go figure! Nonetheless, it sets up easily in our yard, and taking it down is even easier. I am impressed how durable the racquets are – these are not as flimsy as the ones I remember from my youth, and you can really smash the Birdie without worry of damaging the racquet.Overall, we have fun, get in a decent workout, and burn off that decadent snack we should not have eaten earlier in the day. I highly recommend this!

For the price, an impressively complete beginner badminton set
I’ll start things off by suggesting you set your expectations properly. If your skill levels is moderate to advanced, you’ll likely find the racquet and the birdie of horrifically low quality. The racquet is basically a toy that won’t last for more than a few sessions of hard playing, and the shuttlecock is cheap plastic.I wouldn’t say I’m an expert, but I did invest in a Yonex racquet which itself costs more than this entire set, but is worth it for the difference in play quality. That said, if you’re just looking for occasional fun in the backyard or the beach, this isn’t a bad set which can get four people up and running pretty quickly. The net is a bit more cumbersome than I’d like to put together, but once you do it a few times it gets easier. I also like that it comes with a convenient case that holds all the pieces: the metal bars, the spikes, the net, and the rope.As for me, I’m probably going to end up using the net but sticking to my own racquets and birdies. If the net is all you need, you can find standalone nets much cheaper than this.Overall, once you get everything set up it’s a lot of fun and works just like you’d expect it to. I’m not sure if the value of the contents justifies the price, which kind of hovers between the cheapest “all in one” sets and higher end equipment (which this is not, except for maybe the net).
