We. Love. This. Watch.
Kiddo got this watch for his 10th birthday and loves it! We weren’t quite ready for a phone, and this was the perfect answer. He is learning so much about independence and responsibility, without the noise of social media and apps. Highly recommend for people coparenting. He doesn’t need to ask us to use our phones to speak to the other parent anymore. I asked if I did ok for his birthday, and his response was, “you did better than ok!”

If you’re thinking this is an affordable solution to “other” watches, don’t fall for it!
Buyer Beware!Got this watch as a present for my 8 yr old daughter and there were issues right out of the box. Immediately the watch wouldn’t charge properly and constantly run out of battery during the day. Even when you leave the watch on a charger all night, it’ll often still say it’s at 50% charge when you wake up in the morning. Somehow this thing can suck the charge out of a watch while it’s sitting on a charger! First time for everything I guess…I contacted Gabb Support (which is a total misnomer because they don’t support anything) and they have run me through the customer service ringer for going on a month now. They will tell you they are going to respond to you and then go dark for two weeks. After that, they’ll email you with a new agent asking you to repeat your problem all over again and have yo8u try the same solution that doesn’t work all over again! For instance, I have now had three different Gabb agents tell me to do a reset and re-pair of the watch when I have informed them I’ve done it numerous times now.Now the problem has evolved from not charging or holding a charger to the screen wont stay on longer than 1.5 seconds so you can’t navigate on the watch and it’s totally unusable because it just turns off every second.Long story short, it is not well made and even more poorly supported. We bought this watch for our daughter as we didn’t want to get her a phone or shell out for an Apple watch but the reality is I should’ve just paid double the price for an Apple watch because I’ve wasted so much time on this and my daughter is really bummed out her present form her grandparents is so terrible.

Highly recommend
I had debated for months whether or not to get this watch. I finally bit the bullet and bought it last week. We absolutely love this watch! It is perfect for our 9 year old to navigate and I love that it doesn’t have social media on it.Someone from the company reached out to me through text to see how everything was going or if I had and questions. I was been surprised by this and loved the care they had for their customers. If any one is debating whether or not to get this watch for their child I 100% recommend!

Seriously a great watch for kids!
We tried a few other kids watches and prefer the Gabb Watch. Gabb seems to strike the best balance between making technology fun for the kids without making it addictive or dangerous. The watch is really durable. My son fell on his skateboard and the watch skid along the sidewalk. It still works perfectly and we were able to replace the screen cover quickly because they come in packs of 2.It’s easy to communicate with my kids and the parental controls like focus mode are so great!! I love seeing my kids connecting with family members, even if they sometimes send them messages with a million emojis. 🤭My favorite features:• Focus modes to keep him from being distracted during school, sleep, church, etc.• The emergency feature where he can still call me in focus mode.• The coins he can earn (serious motivation for him to do chores without complaining!)• The Safe Zones – I set up his school and home as safe zones and I get an alerts if he leaves the area.• The battery lasts the whole day and I get a notification if his watch needs to be charged.• It also has a feature that makes a loud noise so we can find it if.. when it’s lost. Because, well, kids. 🤷♀️My kids’ favorite features:• The fun animated animals and games he can play with by earning coins (but there are time limits so the games aren’t addicting)• The freedom he has to run around the neighborhood• The fact that he can call us for a ride when practice ends early.• The customizable alarm function so he can remind himself when to get ready for soccer practice, etc. It’s the whole package when it comes to a kids watch! I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase this again.

Relatively reliable
This watch has been a pretty good investment in my child’s safety, I’d say. First off, it’s nice that you don’t have to pair it to your own cellphone plan. It’s great that they don’t have access to the garbage that people call social media. The focus modes are great for keeping them off their watch when busy with school or any classes but they can still contact their main person on there. The safety zones are a neat feature but are way too large; I thought you’d be able to adjust it to a smaller one but no… so be prepared for a HUGE zone unfortunately. It also doesn’t update you when they enter or leave it right away. It takes a good 5+ minutes to notify you so that could easily be a safety issue (example: getting dropped off or picked up from school)The watch isn’t too big on their tiny wrist either. I was expecting something very bulky but it’s a great fit.The battery is pretty bad but could possibly last all day if they don’t call or text too often. The task app on it is kind of pointless. I was hoping for a more checklist-like feature but it’s very baby-like for the age group it’s aimed at.All in all, the watch has its pros and cons. More pros and it’s worth it if you need to keep in contact with an elementary age child who isn’t old enough for the responsibility of a phone.I would recommend it over any other cellular child watch.

So far I’m THRILLED
After reading a few reviews of set up difficulties I was nervous. However, it set up quickly and simply. My 8.5 yo son loves it. I really like that there isn’t a number key pad; he has to use the contact list to call/text which I control from the app on my phone. Even if someone has the number they cannot make contact with him unless they are in the contact list. If anything changes I’ll update but right now we are both happy!
