This is my first handheld digital microscope, purchased based on a Freakin’ Reviews episode on YouTube. Excellent specs for the price. 8 dimmable LED lights, a 2MP lens with focus range of 50x to 1000x magnification. The device is small enough that I was able to hold and manipulate all controls.Although a Chinese product, the enclosed all-English manual is surprisingly detailed, full of useful information and instructions. It’s here that you’ll learn that this device has two modes, WIFI and PC. WIFI will only work with a smart phone or table, via the downloadable app. Windows requires a direct USB connection to work with the software you must download. Even though WIFI is listed as a connection option, it only works via USB cable.The single snapshots can be set to one of three HD resolutions, all JPEG format. You can also record MP4 videos.Keep in mind, the higher the magnification, the more difficult it is to hold the camera steady. Most users will opt to purchase an addition camera stand. The basic metal one sold here for $7.99 is perfect for the casual user and highly recommended.Fun, useful and educational. And budget friendly! If you love gadgets, you’ll love this.

Easy to connect to your mobile phone takes high-quality pictures. Very efficient microscope. Magnification is great great quality great focus perfect size it’s wireless like moving around. The cord charges quickly. Great value for money there’s a lot of of these out there for my opinion. This just seems to be the one that’s got everything on a good budget price.

Fun for Science Class
Bought this to examine rocks and minerals for our elementary geology curriculum. The kids had a great time using it to magnify anything and everything they could. It was easy to set up and to use.

This microscope works great! I usually do not like installing app to use a product, so I am using my mac. Easy to set up, and you can see clear image. Be Aware! If you do not want to know how filthy your facial pores are, do not get this, because you can see every thing. I mean, EVERYTHING. I looked at my pores on my chin and nose, I had to run to store to get one of those pore strips. I am not even joking. It is scary. It is super easy to use, and great value. This can be also educational for kids. They can look at various items, like fruit, leaves, and other items to see what they see! I highly recommend this product.

Quality control issues.
I’ve tried to use this multiple times, so far it’s worked two out of the 25 times that I’ve tried to connect it. On the times it does connect, it will disconnect and say it needs to reconnect to Wi-Fi and then never reconnect after that. I’ve tried shutting the thing down and restarting it, I’ve tried completely closing out the app, shutting the magnifier down, turning off the Wi-Fi and restarting, nothing works. I was very disappointed because a friend of mine got the same exact one and hers works perfectly.

Works while it last
It works good while it last… I had it for 1.5 years now and I’d say I’ve used it 3 times, went to use it this week and it no longer holds a charge. Not sure when the battery gave out since I haven’t used it in months. So if you’re looking for something that will last long-term this might not be the best option. But for the price, it’s a good novelty gift.
