Great luxury diapers with great features, but expensive and packaging heavy
I have heard a lot about luxury diapers and wanted to see if they lived up to the hype.We have a 6 month old but she is very small for her age, only 11 pounds. I got a size 2 which is listed to be for weights from 8 pounds to 18 pounds. I personally feel that they were pretty big on her, however there is a internal cuff around their leg that helps prevent leaks. We had 2 leaks, one urine and one from a blowout. I think the urine leak was due to operator error (I had changed her on my lap so probably didn’t do a great job) and blowouts have happened with every brand so I can’t hold that against these.I really love how thin these diapers are. I was honestly pretty concerned that they would not be very absorbent as they were so thin. These have proven to be very absorbent and easily hold up overnight 10+ hours.My absolute favorite feature is hard to describe. We have used the big brand diapers and when we remove them, the fasteners always fold in and fall into the diaper. Fine for urine diapers, not so much for poop diapers. I always noticed it and thought “Well, that’s annoying that diapers do that, someone should fix that”. Well, Dryper has fixed that. Every single diaper I have removed, the side fasteners lay completely flat so I am able to clean her up and then wrap the diaper easily. This is a seriously nice aspect of these diapers.I was confused when I opened the box and saw several individually wrapped packages. These diapers are enclosed in small packages, supposed “daily packs” so you can just grab one pack and be set for the day. My problem with this is the extra unnecessary packaging. I always just load my diaper bag with diapers when I am running low and I would rather add less to landfill as the convenience of a preloaded package isn’t that much.Lastly, these diapers are expensive at about $0.65 per diaper. I love the diapers themselves but not sure if the extra cost is warranted when cheaper diapers are fine. If I wanted to splurge I would definitely consider these if packaging was reduced.

Wouldn’t buy
If I was basing my review solely on branding, these would be a 10/10. The branding is GORGEOUS! The diapers come in smaller resealable bags that hold 7 diapers which is convenient for tossing in the diaper bag. The logo and the all-white design are so luxurious. And if I was basing this review solely on the FEEL of the diaper, it would be 10/10. They are SO SOFT!!! I’ve seriously never felt a softer diaper in my life. Felt like a crime to let her pee in it haha! They scream luxury.But, like a lot of luxury items, they fell flat in terms of performance. The first couple of daytime diapers went well, no leakage. I was excited to try an overnight. Unfortunately, my baby woke up soaked in pee. I thought maybe it was a fluke, maybe she moved weird and caught the edge or something. Tried again the next night: covered in pee again. I thought “well, that’s fine I’ll just use them during the day.” About 4 out of 5 day diapers will be okay, but at least one leaks every day. I think it’s the shape. We use the Costco brand (which is made by Huggies). The shape of the Dryper is almost inverse of the Huggies…meaning, with Huggies the back is larger than the front of the diaper. With Dryper, the front is larger than the back. It confused me so much that I thought maybe we were supposed to put them on backwards with the tabs on the front. You’re not supposed to do that, but it’s tempting. Maybe they’ll work better!And before you think it’s user error, our daughter is 9 months and has only had one blow-out in her life. I had 8 younger siblings and am a PRO at diapering. All the edges are fluffed and flat to her skin, two finger distance at the waist, etc. I think maybe the shape + the ultra-thin material just can’t hold big pees. I wanted to love these for the aforementioned reasons, but sadly, they don’t function as well as other diapers.

Diapers
I liked these diapers. They were soft and absorbed a lot. They stayed put and I didn’t notice any leaks.

Das sind die hochwertigsten Windeln, die ich je hatte. Normalerweise kaufen wir Supermarkt-Marken und sie sind zweifellos viel besser als Supermarkt-Marken. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist nicht besonders gut, was das Produkt im Stich lässt, da für viele Familien diese für die Menschen nicht zugänglich wären. Aber die Windeln sind dick und so weich, wie weich gepolstert. Und sie eignen sich hervorragend, um Urin zurückzuhalten. Die Windel wurde etwa 3 Stunden lang angezogen, wo das Kind viel getrunken hatte und die Windel voll war, aber man konnte keine Nässe auf der Oberseite spüren, was für das Kind sehr angenehm ist, da sie sich trocken anfühlt und das Risiko von Windelausschlag und Irritationen verringert, was großartig ist. Meine Nichte zögerte weniger, ihre Windeln wechseln zu lassen, als es eine dieser war, weil sie weicher waren. Ich denke, es war schöner auf ihrer empfindlichen Haut, da sie eine sehr empfindliche Haut hat. Sie fühlen sich dicker und weicher an und sind eindeutig von unglaublicher Qualität. Mir hat auch das Design der Verpackung gefallen, da man so immer nur eine Windel herausziehen kann, um Berührungen und Oberflächen oder Hände vor dem Anbringen zu vermeiden. Ich fand die Klebebänder perfekt, sie waren auch von hervorragender Qualität und blieben die ganze Zeit, in der die Windel angezogen war, haften, ohne dass sie sich lockerte. Wenn ich könnte, würde ich diese gerne als meine Vollzeitwindel wählen

These are really nice quality diapers that do the job but seem kind of expensive for what they are. I like how soft they feel, the general performance has been good (these are the size baby is just starting to grow into, so I would have understood the odd leak, but they did just fine at holding it in) and they’re overall a nice diaper.At this price point, however, I would be looking for something in them that was really outstanding to justify the cost, and I’m not sure what that would be. I’d be glad to know it’s going to something like higher wages for the folks making them, but absent that confirmation I couldn’t justify it to myself.These are probably best kept in reserve for occasions where an unmarked diaper would be called for (photography, dressy occasions where the diaper might show through a cover) as that would do a lot to offset the cost.
