Easy Installation & Operation
STEP 1 – Locate and remove the existing filter by turning it counter-clockwise. Also, carefully remove the sanitary end-cap from the new filter.
STEP 2 – Insert the new filter into the refrigerator filter receptacle. Rotate the filter clockwise until the arrow on the bottom is aligned with the arrow on the refrigerator filter head.
STEP 3 – Check for good water flow by dispensing water into the glass. If slow flow rate noticed, remove and again install the filter. Perform a final time check for leaks after the installation.
STEP 4 – Reset the filter replacement indicator light by holding the Alarm (or Energy Saver) button for 3 seconds, or refer your refrigerator’s owner’s manual.

Works great…water tastes the way it was intended!
This thing does what it was intended to do and the water tastes great. I’ve purchased other filters over the years and they tend to be hit & miss depending on whether or not you purchase the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer’s) or you pick up a 3rd party unit (such as this one…). I would purchase this one again as it is easy to install, the water tastes great and it’s cheaper than the OEM unit.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with purchasing this product for your refrigerator, if you are in the market for a new water filter. Here’s a tip for those that are considering purchasing a new water filter: Check the prices for this particular water filter from “HomeDepot”. For the same price that you would pay at HomeDept for this type of water filter, you can purchase almost 3 of water filters from this company………………..just sayn……………it’s your money!

I do give Aqua Fresh WF 290 three stars not because it is a bad filter ( I did not go through vigorous testing of the filtered water), but I think this filter is not a good fit for my LG refrigerator. The filter got into place but it feels so loose that I am afraid it would leek any moment or fall off its place. Thus I decided to take it off and have it returned.

We’ve used these filters for several years and have been pleased with them. They are pretty easy to install, if you get it lined up right.

Perfect replacement for my Kenmore
For the price of the filter this is a great replacement for my kenmore. Fit right in with no problems, just remember to flush it before you drink water from it. Little bits of charcoal dust and a few particles are going to be in suspension until this done. I have not experienced any flow problems at all. A very suitable replacement.

Have an LG LSC series fridge and had this filter installed for several months before it finally went. Did not have any of the poor flow issues mentioned in other reviews. I noticed the water tasted like tap after 7 months, so it lasted as its rated for and will purchase again. Can’t speak to the level of its filtration, not about to go have the water tested. I would recommend as a generic replacement, the price is great for this filter.
