Great little TV!
Firstly, the last tv I had, I purchased from a thrift store 10 years ago, it weighed 70 pounds and I had to use a transformer just to hook it up to a DVD player and forget about hooking it up to my receiver. 1990 kept calling saying they wanted their tv back, but I kept letting it go to voicemail until now. 1990 is happy. I’m happy. With that being said, this is the first flat-screen I’ve had in my life and so I can’t compare it’s quality to other modern TVs.On with the review… it was packaged really well and arrived without damage. (Amazon delivered it to my neighbor though. I’m glad I have honest neighbors). The tv was easy to set up, and is sturdy on its base/feet and it hooks up to my DVD player. The sound quality on its own isn’t that great, but I’m a snob about sound quality, which is why I’m SUPER happy that I can hook it up to my receiver/external speakers and it sounds crystal clear.I don’t have cable or dish, and I mainly bought this to hook up to my laptop and Chromebook to watch Netflix or YouTube or whatever. I was confused at first and tried to connect my laptop via USB which, in retrospect, makes no sense at all. After connecting it with an HDMI cord, it was in extended screen mode, so I had to go to the settings on my computer to switch to mirror mode before my screen was projected. I’m providing this info in case whoever is reading this is a bit technologically challenged like myself.The screen quality is good but, again, I’m comparing this to a 1990s TV, so I don’t know how the screen compares to similar brands. Lastly, it came with batteries for the remote, which is just a little detail that I appreciated.So there ya go…. I’m really happy with my little TV and I hope this review helped you.

The remote is tiny and has no info on it
I like the smart feature, the picture quality and the number of HDMI ports. I dislike the tiny remote. There are very limited instructions on how to use it. Every time I want to use a function I have to look it up online. I still don’t know how to use output or source. Thank heaven I have cable and use their remote for this. If I didn’t have input on my cable remote I have no idea how I would go from streaming, DVD player or back to TV on this little remote. Yes, it is handy to have in your hand. But very sensitive so when it falls on the floor all kinds of things can get activated.

Best Bang for your Buck under 32″
This TV is perfect for the small room I’ve put it in, as long as I close the blinds. Otherwise there’s a major glare. But in dim light the 720p HD picture looks great. One of the most important features for me is the generous number of HDMI ports—three! Most TVs this size have only one or two. I have both a Roku and a Blu-Ray/DVD player connected to it, and may eventually add a DVR box. In addition, there’s an optical audio output port, which has turned out to be just what I needed, as I’m not terribly impressed with the sound quality of the TV speakers (even though a couple of other reviewers were happy with it. I certainly wouldn’t call it “stunning,” but then the TV in my living room has a 5.1 home theater speaker system, which I admit has spoiled me). So I bought a 28” sound bar for about $70. Much improved! The TV’s HDMI3 port is ARC capable, by the way, in case you have a sound bar with an HDMI port. My cheap one doesn’t, but it works great with the optical cable.I also wasn’t crazy about the little plastic feet that comprise a stand for this TV—especially since the feet wouldn’t have raised the TV enough to accommodate the sound bar, so I also purchased a tabletop TV stand for about $27, which mounted easily. If you also decide to dispense with the cheap little feet, don’t throw the little screws away. I needed them to mount the stand, which came with many different sizes of machine screws, but not the size that fits this TV.All in all, a great bargain, plenty of bang for your buck! I’d give it four and a half stars if I had that option.

B R O K E N — Probably was an open box sold as new.
Purchased to replace a relative’s television when the screen went out on the old one. I was pleased to find a substitute in the $100 range, mortified when I had to admit that I couldn’t seem to get it to work. Then, I finally got a part of the picture going, and it used about 85% of the screen on the right side. “I’ve seen this before!” I thought. Because anyone who’s gone into a seller of televisions has seen it.. there’s one on display that has gone haywire and the screen looks just like that. Lacking self confidence, I did my due diligence to determine if I was missing some important factor, but no. I bought a new one from (ugh) Best Buy, plugged it in and it worked. This was all more agonizing to my soul than I can possibly relate here, but the problem is that I was sold a damaged product, definitely not new. I knew it the moment I saw the box. I’m not sure how long it will take before I stop kicking myself about buying this kind of thing through Amazon.

Good TV for the price
I got this for my nephew. He uses it to watch TV and especially play his video games. He has his Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One hooked up to it.

Fit’s well in RV
I bought this TV to put in my travel trailer and it fits well. Travel trailers typically have limited space for size of TV and it’s difficult to find small TV’s anymore. This is NOT a smart TV but works with a Fire Stick which makes it a smart TV. The sound is tinny as stated in other reviews but we have our TV’s wired into our sound system so this is not an issue for us. I would definitely recommend measuring your space carefully to be sure it fits. The universal mount on the back of the TV worked with our TV that was currently in our trailer and is specialized to lock in place. If all those parameters work for you it is a nice TV for the money.

I have had this TV for over a year now with no complaints. I needed a TV with an optical output to accommodate wireless headphones in the 27 inch range. TV’s in the 27″ range. do not normally come with this feature but this one does. Continu.us TV’s are typically marketed for RVers so it has more options for input/output than typical TVs. Overall it suits my application.
