This is for mounting various camera equipment to metal surfaces, such as cars. The magnets are covered in a grippy rubber coating, and the four magnets are super strong. I strongly recommend using the supplied rope with a 1/4-inch screw bolt to help remove it from the metal surface to which it is mounted.The machining is nice, smooth, and clean. The threads are also smooth, and the coating on aluminum looks good and durable.This provides lots of mounting options: three 1/4-inch and one 3/8-inch threaded holes, plus a cold shoe mount. This is perfect overkill for an action camera mounted on a long pole that can generate a lot of torque.
