Arlo
I’ve been using the Arlo camera system for a few months now, and I’m thoroughly impressed with its performance. The video quality is excellent, with crisp HD resolution that lets me see details clearly even at night, thanks to the infrared night vision. Whether I’m checking in remotely or reviewing footage later, it’s always sharp and reliable. The setup was straightforward, and the app is user-friendly, making it easy to view live footage, receive motion alerts, and adjust settings all from my phone. The motion detection works well, and I get real-time notifications whenever there’s activity, which gives me peace of mind. The battery life is another highlight—it lasts for weeks on a single charge, even with frequent motion alerts. Plus, the cameras are weather-resistant, so I don’t have to worry about them holding up outside in rain or snow. The only minor downside is that the subscription plan for cloud storage can add up over time if you need to store footage long-term, but the free plan works fine for basic use.Overall, the Arlo camera system is an excellent investment for anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-use home security solution. Highly recommend for peace of mind!

Great resolution, greet zoom, great price.
Very happy so far. Recognizes and describes motion in alert heading, i.e. person, animal, vehicle, package. Very handy, great zoom and image resolution.Automatic flash is nice deterrent when motion is detected but it’s a tad obnoxious at my front door. You can turn it off, but a small led indicator would probably be a nice compromise to let people know cam can see them.Smart design allows removing cam to quickly replace battery without disturbing mounting position. But i opted for the Solar panel so charging not needed. Panel is absolutely worth it, even in keeps adequately charged in partial shade.I think the AI recognition tech is through subscription only, Im on 30 day free trial right now, plan is reasonable so i might keep it,

Seamless!
I love the fact that we’re getting to a point that these cameras are first off extremely easy to set up, but also they work so well. Personally, I have an experience any connectivity or lag just pure clarity with this camera so far I also have a really strong Internet connection. I love the fact that you have night vision and the light that comes on lucky for me I don’t really have too many problems in my neighborhood, but it’s nice to see what my dogs are up to lol overall this is a great camera and I love the whole or arlo ecosystem

Read before buying! Arlo has ruined their product.
I am a long-time user of Arlo cameras and have previously given 5-star ratings. However, buyers must be aware that as of this review (7/29/24) Arlo has basically destroyed their products and many users such as myself are now stuck with expensive cameras that can no longer be used as intended. Why? Arlo is now forcing users to upgrade to their new app (this camera REQUIRES you to upgrade). The new app is HORRIBLE. It erases all customizations you have made upon instillation. But the worst part is that you can no longer assign different modes to different cameras. All of your customizations are either all or none. And the customizations don’t work. I’m serious. It has completely crippled my system and I am now looking for new cameras. If anyone wants to by my six cameras let me know because I will be looking to get rid of them. Most users likely have certain cameras on “armed” mode during certain times (such as perhaps a back yard or driveway) so you will get a motion notification on your phone and different cameras that are on “home” mode that will record but not give notifications. This functionality is no longer possible with the new app. (Unless you want to pay and ADDITIONAL $150 per year to assign different cameras to different “locations.”) Yes, you heard that correctly, although Arlo advertises that you can have unlimited cameras on their plan for $150 per year, they all have to be at the same location and all armed or disarmed with the exact same programing. If you want to customize different cameras in different ways, they will charge you an additional $150 for a new “location” (even if it is just one camera). This MIGHT work for camera specific customizations, but I didn’t try because at that price point there are other better options that do what Arlo used to do for cheaper, so I didn’t bother trying that.

Works with old Arlo Pro system
I don’t know why it is so hard to figure out what is compatible with older systems. It is in line with how bad their customer service is, however. I originally had 7 Arlo Pro cameras with two base stations, One died, several stopped working with direct power (but still worked with only battery power), and then a neighbor’s grand kids found and destroyed two of them. ARLO – wake up and help your oldest customers out! I finally bought one of these just to see what would happen. Well, in spite of the missing quick start card (claimed to be included, but wasn’t), I got it hooked up. It did suddenly decide I had to update my account even though I had checked for all updates prior to this. Anyway, it set itself up and joined my account. At the same time, all the features of the old system changed. Not for the worse – just different. Why are they keeping us in the dark? It makes no difference which cameras you have. The base station is not required unless you want local video storage (and then you don’t need a subscription). Apparently you can access videos directly from a new hub, unlike the old Arlo Pro Hub. Arlo Marketing sucks. They aren’t even trying to get people to upgrade, when they should. So I bought another one, no thanks to Arlo. And if you think you might need support, do not buy Arlo.

Amazon Customer –
I have bought a number of Arlo cameras for each property and they work great once setup.Cons – setup is painful and never seems to be smooth. Nice to have a 1800 for customer service.

Es importante no vender productos en México que no funcionan en el país, sobre todo que la Empresa no lo advierte hasta que entras en contacto con ellos en el servicio de post venta.

I have the pro 3 purchased from Costco a few years ago, cameras work well, needed a little update for the front yard, this camera works well and the 2K resolution has sufficient detail.Again Good Wireless Camera, about 40′ of reasonable signal through walls. 50+ feet (direct line of sight).

Purchased Arlo door bell and older model eccential camera . Models all have major issues picking up movement in custom zones set up by your own settings. The 5s camera when power levels drop to 10% Constantly triggering text message alerts very far outside of your custom set up zones . In turn degrading battery life to three days even when hooked up to Arlo optional solar panel that is in a sunny area most of the day. BTW solar panel charging plugs are different types between both camera . Have to purchase different ones. One is magnetic other is micro usb . Also found night vision much better in the lower cost older eccential camera. The 5 s is much newer and 2 megapixel but performance much lower than the older eccential model. Called customer support tech but seem to be perplexed as to why and did not offer any answers so far . The paid subscription AI picking up cars driving down the street and interpreting them as animal movement in alerts . They still have a long way to go with software issues .
