Works as intended. 2TB Drive has been working great. Will not break the Bank and adds a Backup between the Normal Backups. My old 500GB Transcend Drive I’ve had for many many years that’s been tossed in Draws and Boxes and Dropped on the Floor more than it should have been and it’s still going strong. A Magnetic Hard Drive is the extra bit of security with all the SSD Drives that may or may not last as long as a good old Spinning Drive. Backup then Backup again. Transcend is Tough.

Great Hardware, Crappy online support & PACKAGING.
I already have a transcend HD from a couple of years ago. My new Transcend took a half an hour to format. Mac Utilities had some problems erasing HD – in some cases not recognizing device and ‘erasing errors’.After several more tries I finally got an ‘initialize disc’ request from my Mac and then was able to Erase/Mac/journaled the Transcend HD. Not sure if their software is up to date with Mac 10.14.3 – it sure wasa hard to re-format! I don’t see why their packaging or inserts do not contain fast start instructions, just tiny advertising, also the online resources are lacking ( although they did get back to me in 24 hrs.). Great product though. The hardware guys got it right! A real PISSER is the packaging and serial/model##s – SO microscopic !!! Is this a conspiracy to make us all go blind???

Die Festplatte verwende ich als Absicherung meines umfangreichen Fotoarchivs. Es gibt nichts auszusetzen. Die Festplatte ist schnell und geräuschlos und macht einen stabilen Eindruck und ist für unterwegs / Outdoor gut geeignet. Würde ich wieder kaufen.

I already have one of these HDD (4 years) and still going strong. I use it continually for time shifting and recording on my smart TV. I bought this second Transcend HDD because of its reliability, for file storage and to replace an inferior HDD which lasted less than 2 years.
