    Great value
Ive had this Drive for about a year now and it started out as my main drive for my plex sever that I run 24/7, as I buildup my system it has since then been reduced to a back up drive but it has seen its fair share of heavy usage. I was skeptical of this drive due to the comments when I purchased it, but the price was right for the space that I needed.

Terrible, Terrible, cursed product. Buy anything else
Nightmare product. I’ve had it less than a year and the feeling of being a working professional and relying on this is something I would wish upon no person. Stupid thing is way slower than ANY external drive I’ve had, the storage space is not how it is represented and things fill up faster than the associated file sizes should. It randomly disconnects or seems to go to sleep so good luck working with multiple large files in a project- it may just decide it doesn’t feel like it and shut off a split second, losing tons of work. Now, you may wonder why I took so long to write the review, and truthfully, it’s because the product is officially broken. Kept in pristine condition I just had the drive corrupt and lost my 8 Terabytes I had stored. My PC keeps trying to do repairs on it but it keeps failing. Not to mention this thing never shuts up. It is very loud and you can hear thumps from the drive when you engage with some larger files. I set mine up in a very comfortable place where it wouldn’t damage itself from its sheer thumping. I hate this product and hold personal resentment towards anyone with administrative oversight that allowed such a shoddy product to be sold at such an exorbitant price.

    Impressive external hard drive
I recently purchased the UnionSine 10TB Desktop External Hard Drive, and I have to say, it has significantly exceeded my expectations given its very affordable price point. I have been using it consistently for about a week and managed to back up around 1TB of data from another portable hard drive without any issues. The performance, convenience, and features of this product stand out, making it a strong competitor to more well-known brands like Seagate and WD.The overall design of this hard drive is sleek, professional, and well-considered. While it requires an external power adapter, I find the long cord to be a thoughtful touch that prevents any inconvenience. Unlike many other products that often limit user mobility, the extra length of the adapter cable ensures flexible placement. The package also includes two cables—a USB-C to USB-A and a USB-C to USB-C—which is particularly valuable for compatibility with both older laptops and newer devices such as my Lenovo and MacBook. This USB-C to USB-C cable is a great addition, offering a level of versatility and modern compatibility that many competing models, like Seagate and WD, do not provide. Furthermore, the ease of replacing USB-C cables, as compared to micro USB-A cables used by some other brands, adds another layer of convenience and practicality. The longer cables also offer greater flexibility, which I appreciate and consider a key highlight of this product. From a usability perspective, the drive arrived preformatted in the exFAT file system, which meant it worked seamlessly across both PC and Mac systems right out of the box—another thoughtful feature that minimizes setup hassles. In terms of data transfer speed, the UnionSine drive impresses with approximately 100 MB/s copy speeds from my old seagate USB external hard drive. While this speed is on par with my Seagate and WD devices, I found the writing process to be smoother and without any noticeable slowdowns. It consistently handled transfers with ease, regardless of large files or many small files (like photos), making file management fast and efficient.During my use, I did notice that the hard drive occasionally emitted a bit of loud noise, likely from the hard disk itself. However, this was not particularly disruptive and did not hinder my overall experience. The cooling fan noise, in contrast, was negligible, and the drive remained cool to the touch even after extended use of two to three hours. This heat management and quiet operation are reassuring features, especially when dealing with significant data backups or transfers. While I cannot yet speak to the long-term reliability of the UnionSine hard drive due to my short period of use, my experience so far has been overwhelmingly positive. It has delivered performance on par with, if not better than, my Seagate and WD external hard drives with more established brand reputation. Considering that this is my first experience with this less well-known brand, I am genuinely impressed and highly satisfied with its performance, design, and thoughtful features.

Decent drive BUT you’ll definitely want to reformat it.
I didn’t have any issues using this drive for the purpose of helping migrate terabytes of data from my media server to a new system. It reads and writes about par for the course as most budget USB 3.0 HDDs will these days so I don’t have any complaints with it’s speed. That being said, there’s one potential red flag for this drive that would prevent me from using it as permanent mass storage: the default formatting. This drive is formatted in exFAT, which is handy since it’s plug and play with both Mac and Windows machines so it’s particularly useful if you regularly transfer data between the two like I did, but it’s an unreliable and less secure format compared to NTFS, HFS+, or APFS since it isn’t journaled. My advice to anybody buying this drive who plans on using it with just one system – format it for that respective system. You’ll be glad doing so, knowing you just averted the risk of data loss from accidental unplugs or power failures. Even then, you’d be better off using a third-party driver like NTFS for Mac or HFS+ for Windows. Beyond that, I think it’s fine – especially for the price.

I wanted this to transfer my data collected over the years from a 6TB, 4TB and 3TB SATA drives in USB 3.0 docks to a single drive that’s easy to get to. Copying was quick, using Windows 11 and from USB 3.0 using the USB-C to USB-C cable I’m getting write speeds of I’d say average 140-150MB/s which is not too shabby.I got 2 cables with my 12TB drive (10.9 TB usable), a USB-C to USB-C and a USB-A to USB-C and they are certainly are of good make. The disk came formatted as ex-FAT, but I prefer NTFS myself as I’m not using a Mac but Windows and Linux Mint. Can’t hear the drive as it sits behind my 32″ monitor along with all other mess of cables hidden from view and the TV is always on in the background, not that it’s noisy. As it will just be staying on my desk in the same position, so there’s absolutely no need for it to travel with me , so I see a long and happy life for it. There’s no on/off switch, so you’ll rely on your O/S to power it down when not in use. There’s a load of air vents on the case, so getting rid of the heat won’t be a problem if you’re really hammering the drive for a long period of time (like I’m doing at the moment).I chose this over the more well known makes as at the end of the day it’s just a 7200RPM drive in a case and I wanted value for money and value for money it is. I wasn’t put off by people saying “oh it’s rubbish”, and “don’t trust it”. Probably down to them dropping the drives will messing around with the innards to see what was in there. The bigger brand names also have people saying the same thing. If you’re not paranoid and are not expecting the disk to fail in a day because it’s not a “big” name, I’d recommend this – you certainly get a lot for your money 12TB at 180 pounds = 15 quid per TB in a nice case I’d say is a good deal.

Conectar a corriente, pinchar USB y punto.
