Lotus Seeds don’t germinate as easily as descriptions on Amazon state
Usually, I’m happy to receive orders from Amazon. I’ve been disappointed only twice out of multiple orders.1. I ordered lotus seeds on 2 occasions from Amazon. Out of around 20 seeds only 3 seeds sprouted. Very frustrating starting lotus plants from seeds. Ordered one water lily rhinzone last year for my pond that did well but want small water lilies for tabletop water feature. Is the substance that oozes from seeds harmful, as I change water daily and discard previous water down kitchen drain?2. Socks I ordered awhile back; They get holes easily

Dud seeds
These were supposedly pre-sprouted seeds. They were not sprouted and when they were put into water to sprout, only 2 out of the 10 seeds sprouted. 8 of them did nothing at all. Don’t waste your money on these seeds.

Deceptive marketing. These seeds are not sprouted. Floaters could be dead.
These seeds are deceptively marketed. They are tiny, about the same size as a red bean and they are dry and not sprouted. A couple of them were split in half. I did get 15 seeds when 10 were promised. However, most of them floated to the top. I don’t know if they will germinate or sprout. Avoid, due to deceptive description as sprouted and ready to grow.Edit. May 18 2025. After 2 weeks, 5 of the seeds germinated and have leaves.

I purchased these because they said they were pre-sprouted. They are not. I have had them soaking in water in the sun. They are still not sprouting. Very disappointed. I attempted to have my money refunded and that will only happen after I send them back. I am not gonna pay to return 10 dead seeds. That’s ridiculous.

I see a lot of poor reviews on these seeds. I had pretty good luck with them. I threw them in my bird bath and soon I noticed some green. So far I have 6 that sprouted. I brought them inside and hoping for beautiful flowers, also hoping the rest will sprout soon!!

Less than zero these molded within two days follow the directions which were off-line. Nothing came with them. This is a waste of money as I thought it might be, but it truly was stay clear don’t buy.
