Accurate Soil Moisture Detection：The XLUX Soil Moisture Meter can tell you if the soil deep inside your pot or garden is dry, moist or wet; whereas your eyes and fingers can only determine the moisture level of the soil surface.
Easy-to-Read Large Dial: The large dial is easy to read and includes three zones with ten scales, making it very straightforward to understand.
Immediate Moisture Reading: Insert the probe into the soil, and without waiting, the dial will immediately display the moisture level. You can then decide whether your plant needs watering based on the measurement. Do not leave this moisture meter in the soil for more than 5 minutes, as the metal tip will gradually corrode.
Less Damage: A single probe causes less damage to plant roots compared to double or multiple probes, and when you remove the probe after testing, it won’t bring out much soil.
Usage Precautions: Do not use it to test very hard soil. Do not test water or other liquids. After testing, please wipe the probe clean.

This device gets the job done
I am in charge of a gardening club in the community that I live in . This moisture meter comes in very handy to check the moisture level of our raised bed gardens. Deep probe
The greatest benefit that I derived from this moisture meter was the longer probe for my potted plants and not needing batteries to make it work. The moisture scale is easy to read as well. A very simple and straightforward device.

Check out soil twice weekly
Very helpful to determine if plants need watering. My partner recently died leaving me with a 50 year old ficus tree. 8 feet high 6 feet across. It was his prize possession. In our 38 years together he never allowed me to care for this monster. Needless to say it is now in my care. Knowing when to water apparently helps because new leaves are emerging and the tree is filling out. This tool is the reason I’m now a slave to this old tree.

This works perfectly, so you really know if your plants in pots or hanging baskets need water or not, and it surprised me just how the lower part of a pot or hanging basket still retains a lot of moisture even when the top of the pot or hanging basket looks very dry so helping to avoid root rot.Don’t forget to wipe the tip of the probe each time you test a pot or hanging basket with a tissue or bit of cloth, so you don’t get a false reading on the next pot or hanging basket that you test, and it is very easy to use.

A diferença é notória nos reenvasamentos, onde se vê o bom estado geral das plantas.O único ponto negativo é o preço, que está bastante acima do praticado noutros sites, onde se encontra exatamente o mesmo produto por um valor bem mais baixo.É fundamental que, após cada utilização, a sonda seja cuidadosamente limpa e seca, de forma a evitar a oxidação dos componentes metálicos e preservar a sua precisão ao longo do tempo. Este modelo não foi concebido para monitorização contínua, pelo que não deve permanecer inserido no solo, para esse tipo de uso, existem sondas específicas, com maior resistência à corrosão e adequadas a medições prolongadas.
