The way the refrigerator is designed, you don’t actually need a filter. The filter contains an RFID chip that the refrigerator sees so it knows when you changed the filter.Once you figure out where your water cut off is just to be safe, switching the filter out is pretty simple. Just be sure to run the water for a couple minutes to get air bubbles out of the waterline and make sure the icemaker won’t get air bubbles

Gives you great tasting water. I have terrible water coming into my house. I’ve complained more times than I can count. They always say it’s my old pipes. I don’t believe that as my neighbor had his pipes replaced and his water taste and looks just like mine. Everyone in my whole area says the same thing , so it can’t be my pipes. However the water coming through the Samsung filter is definitely a nice relief. Don’t ever change the filter without shutting off the water. I was dumb enough to make this mistake flooded my kitchen even with that the end result was worth it!

These filters are the direct and authentic replacement to samsungs OEM filters.Buy the factory replacements as they have the additional NSF rating for potential chemicals that the third party filters donot.They arrived in great shape with authenticator device and are real.Buy them in the 2-pack to same some money as well
