Crucial X10 6TB Hard Drive in Blue
Would buy again… I have the X9 Pro 4TB and this X10 6TB is faster in transferring music Videos and connecting to my MacBook Pro. I have been a crucial customer since 2012 and I would say this series is very impressive.

    Brilliantly fast !
I work with lots of model files, each averaging about 50-80 GB. Was looking for an external SSD that supports – (1) fast transfer speeds, and (2) running models directly off the SSD. This SSD was spot on for both my needs. Some observations from my use — The form factor of this SSD is just amazing. The dimension is 2″ X 2.5″ – super compact and lightweight. It is a lot smaller than a credit card (see picture). You can carry this SSD in your pocket or in a key-chain.- When connected to a macbook pro M2 (Note – M2 supports up to USB 3.1 speeds), I get about 750 MB/sec (about one third of the advertised speed). Interestingly, my Windows 11 PC sporting USB 3.2 consistently returns slower transfer speeds compared to my M2 – something to note if you plan on using this SSD with PCs. I will chalk that down to lower quality port/controller in my PC, and not a limitation of this SSD.- And I am able to run all my models directly off the SSD with zero lag.Overall very pleased with how this SSD has turned out.

Great little hard drive, great value.
I ordered this SSD in 1 TB, but received 2 TB. I’m not complaining. The transfer speeds are very quick with the included C to C cable which is maybe 8 inches or so long. I moved over 300 GB of photos to this hard drive in about 20 minutes. Smaller files transferred instantly. It fits in the palm of my hand and has a little cut out so that you can attach a lanyard. I attached a wrist strap and a bluetooth tracker so I don’t lose it. I’m obsessed with this thing.Update: Consider that Google charges $10/month for 2 TB of storage and if you pay them for it, Google is now in control of any data you store with them. I prefer Proton Drive and have a Visionary plan with them, which includes much more than just the 6 TB of storage they provide to my family, but that’s over $300 a year. 2 TB is more than enough for me and my wife’s needs, we can store all of the photos we previously had backed up to iCloud or Google Photos on this drive while being in total control of our data. Plus, it’s small enough to take anywhere with you without being encumbered.

Excellent drive with performance very close to its claimed max speeds.
Although I was never able to quite achieve the maximum 2100 read / 2000 write speeds, I got pretty close coming in at around 92% / 89%. For those speeds, you must have a USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 port. Using a regular USB 3.2 port, speeds came in at about 1000 MB/s for both read and write. Even at those speeds, the drive is impressively fast. At full speed and under heavy load, the drive did get fairly warm but nothing to the point of concern. My only wish would be a higher IPX rating as the drive is not fully dust proof and only splash resistant. Otherwise a great drive at a very good price point.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fast, Compact, and Built Like a Tank
The Crucial X10 1TB SSD blew me away with its blazing-fast speeds — easily hitting close to the advertised 2,100MB/s when transferring large files. Whether I’m editing video, moving game libraries, or backing up photos, it keeps up without a hitch.I love the sleek, compact design — it fits in my pocket and feels premium, not flimsy. The USB-C compatibility works perfectly across my Windows laptop, Android phone, and Mac. No setup hassles, just plug and go.Also, it feels incredibly durable. I’ve tossed it into bags and taken it on trips — no issues. This little drive has serious muscle. Highly recommend if you need fast, portable, and reliable storage!

    Massive, tiny, and fast
I’ve known the Crucial brand for a long time now for building solid performing, durable RAM. Their SSDs appear to be just as solid and durable. Massive because of the 2TB capacity in a portable format. Tiny because the device is tinier than one might think. You really need to see it to appreciate its size. Unlike computer hard drives, which basically have two sizes. Unless they are directly soldered into your board, portable SSDs are not created equal. Finally, fast because it took no time to move data from my PC to the hard drive. This is definitely an amazing PC or phone partner, particularly if yo consume loads of data.

SMALL BUT AWSOME 1 TB EXTERNAL DRIVE
One Terabyte in a Crucial small external drive is great. Able to move files and program installs from home work computer to different office computers on a drive that fits into my shirt pocket as I walk to work. Able to have folders for work, photos and even music that can stay with me as I transit the day. Still trying to figure out how to directly hook it up to my iPhone, since that would be great. Seems to allow fast transfers of data without glitches. Plug and play, which saves problems and hassles.

    Versatile and fast
Originally got this to hold all important items, documents, cherished photos in essence my whole life in case of an emergency. I plugged this in, and it was ready to go – quiet, fast, and low-profile. I actually expected it to me bigger and it is maybe 1/2 the length of a credit card?? It does offer some free trials for photo, Adobe, other misc. I did not read into that too deep – but saw the options. I like the durability of this SSD – dust, water, drop resistant – I need dependability and feel confident this has it.

Bin jedoch guter Dinge. Mega Festplatte für meine externen Daten Backups. 5 Sterne!

I was not expecting the device to be so small (approx 6.5 x 5 x.0.8cm) and light (38 g). It is supplied with a short USB-C to USB-C cable (about 20cm) which connects it to your device of choice. There is a cutout in one corner for a lanyard or security cable. Neither are supplied but I would not expect them to be.On the drive itself there are links to various software download sites, most notably a suite of photo management software which looked interesting but I thought quite expensive. Being a Crucial product there is free access to their stripped down version of Acronis True Image. This will only work if one of the drives on your system is made by Crucial, and allows you to clone or backup existing drives to your new X10.I chose to clone the 2TB ssd on my new laptop to the X10. The job was performed faultlessly, as expected. I have been using Crucial SSD products (250GB to 4TB) since they hit the market some years ago with no problems at all and look forward to many years of service from the X10.My only observations are (1) in periods of heavy use such as drive cloning the housing becomes hot, which is normal. However in my case I found it uncomfortably hot – in excess of 60deg C. (2) there is no tell-tale light in the housing to show when the drive is operating. In conclusion, the product marries high capacity with small size. Excellent portability for business use.
