Clear eyed advice for anyone looking to understand what product means to the organization
Todd does a good job of using his software engineering, product management, and CEO experience to bring clarity to a cloudy world. The impact of product to the organization is at the center of digital natives, but those of us who grew up in a “non-digital” native can really benefit from Todd’s experience. A well organized book that has helped me understand how to lead in a digital, product first world. One aspect I really love is how Todd explains a topic, but then goes just a little further to explain what typically happens, or how things actually play out most of the time. You only get this kind of insight from experience in the trenches – the kind that produces a genuine, authentic, and humble confidence. Todd shares what he knows, and for those areas that are just difficult to solve for (i.e. measuring feelings) he gives great advice on how to think through it yourself. There are better books out there for how to run an agile organization – this book is about leading an organization with a product centered mindset.

solid book, great overview of how product can drive an organization
I really enjoyed this book, it gives a great explanation of what you can achieve by running a product led organization as well as covering the major benefits. In addition to reading this book I even passed it on to my boss and some executives at my job.

Timely and practical
There’s something here for everyone, and as long as you stay open minded as you read I expect you’ll learn something new, nod your head a lot, relate the content to a few of your own experiences, and see items that are interesting but not applicable to you.Well worth the few hours it takes to read. Enjoy!

Insightful intro to how an organization should orient around PLG
Todd has put together a solid entry into the PLG cannon that envisions all parts of the organization working to bring product-led growth to vibrant lifePLG is the latest iteration of the time-tested creation of really valuable software businesses. It expresses how tech is maturing as an industry – properly maniacally focused on the customer. In a sense we’re starting to parallel the cpg industry – focused on value, personalization and presentation. While this may seem an odd analogy, its a good thing; its signals maturity to put the customer at the center of value creation. Product Led Organization simply gives our necessary practical lessons on how to do it well, for your entire organization.

Not up to expectations, too basic.
I was excited to get this book after I heard Todd on a podcast, maybe its just me but the book is too fundamental and basic for even intermediate data driven people. Its alright, would not recommend it.
