Versatile, affordable and works great
I ordered this to use while traveling or attending meetings. My laptop screen is small and it’s hard to work with multiple documents or programs at the same time. This works great! The versatility allows me to work in many environments efficiently. The screen attaches to my laptop screen or can sit next to my laptop on a desk detached. It can sit vertical or horizontal. This is the best investment I’ve made regarding productivity. I completely recommend.

Good product, but attachment method needs work.
I purchased this item to replace a 14 inch previously purchased. So far, it is great. I like the size and the clarity of the screen. It’s actually better than my laptop’s. The only complaint I have is with the attachment. As a stand-alone accessory, it works perfectly as an additional screen. The way it attaches to the laptop could use some work. It isn’t bad when my laptop is on the desk, but sometimes I’m working from my recliner and there isn’t enough tension for it to stay on without having to make some adjustments. Maybe that will be fixed in an updated version, but overall, I’m happy with the purchase.

This has been a good purchase. I rarely write reviews but thought other potential buyers may find this useful. I use the screen extender when I travel for work, which is frequently. It is easy to set up, comes with everything you need and the resolution is amazing. Carries well in my laptop bag and has increased my on road productivity to new levels. Definitely worth the price for the value I have received.

3 stars after modifications
Purchased this to use with a Lenovo Thinkbook 16 G8 IRL. The monitor itself is pretty nice, I’d give it 4 stars. The detachable/rotating leg that can be used on the monitor works great. I’d prefer the whole screen be a uniform thickness, but the little connection “hub” on the back kinda sticks out from the rest, along with the leg. But that’s not much of a problem. The main bracket that attaches to the laptop however…is not great. At least not straight out of the box.The whole thing all put together is fairly heavy, and with the monitor hanging off the side it introduces a bit of leverage that keeps it from being securely attached. I often work with this computer on my lap either on the couch or in bed, and the instability there means the monitor bracket would constantly detach from the back of the main screen.The bracket slides apart lengthwise to allow it to fit onto different size screens, but there is only one small spring loaded clip meant to keep it pulled together while in use, and I found that it isn’t remotely strong enough. The whole thing slides down the back of the laptop until it’s in contact with whatever surface you’re working on, and if you bump the attached monitor the wrong way the whole contraption pops loose since it slides apart so easily.To fix this, I did two things: first I made some marks on the plastic exactly where I felt it would be the best/most secure fit for my screen, then grabbed some gel super glue and applied it to the brackets that slide apart and let it all cure for a bit. If you plan to use this on different size screens, I wouldn’t count on this working for you. Also note: LET THE GLUE DRY COMPLETELY before using or closing the screen!Second: I grabbed some J bracket mirror clips (1/2″ wide) off Amazon and attached them to the back/top to allow it to hang off the top edge of the laptop monitor. If you do it just right, they won’t interfere with screen when you close it up to throw in your bag and the two screens will hang just about flush at the top edge. Unfortunately this also prevents you from flipping the whole thing 180 to hang on the left side, but whatever. In my use case this is the way to go. At least it’s functional.After doing all that, it actually attaches to the laptop the way I originally hoped it would. Still heavy enough that it feels a bit sketchy using it with the screen unsupported since it wobbles a bit, but I can work around that.TLDR:Mount: 2 starsMonitor: 4 starsIf you’re willing to modify it like I have then I guess it’s worth the cost? After all the screen can still be used independently either in portrait or landscape. But if you plan on using this screen entirely on solid surfaces, just get something else that doesn’t try to attach to your laptop. I went with this one for the mount and the design/implementation was disappointing.

Just as advertised
Purchased this screen extender. It works as advertised and is easy to set up. It’s lightweight and portable. I wish the stand had an adjustable function, but it hasn’t been too much of an issue. Certainly helps to have an additional screen for my laptop.
